Bugs sous Yosemite

Problémes de transparence de l’interface sour Yosemite. Beaucoup de bugs et l’application freeze souvent. Inutilisable sous Yosemite. On attend une mise à jours. Transparency problem with shadows on Yosmite. Multiple Bugs (freezes a lot). Update needed for Yosemite.

A bit expensive compared to the options available.

I’ve just purchased pulp, I was really missing a proper looking RSS Reader. The way Pulp works is really efficient but only in organising small amount of feeds. There is really little options, none to resize the feeds thumbs, none to create some sort of subcategories… “(…)rules and more.” —> Open the link in safari or in Pulp

Should remember full screen state

One thing to be improved is "remembering" full screen state, as safari does. Whenever I login, Pulp is launched in non-full screen.

Fantastic Concept and great execution

I stopped reading and using RSS-feed-readers because the articles were presented as lists and all in the same priority. It was difficult to spot something interesting and just and information overload. Pulp solves this great. By having several news on one page (grouped by your categories) and being able to adjust the visual priority (e.g. position, size...) of every article, I can finally get a quick overview of the news. My only complaint is that I dont like the flipping animation and I wished I could turn it off.

Youve got to love this app

Its smooth, its beautiful, its fast - youve got to love this app! However, support for Google Reader would be nice.

Congratulation

Besides it somehow funny name (especially for a German) a really beautfil and noteworthy application. Newsreaders have never been so delightful to use than with Pulp.

Very good app, but crashes all the time since update

Bad news for all users, as the developers of this SW have been acquired by Facebook and thus there wont be any updates for this app anymore. As it is still not that stable as before and the auto-generated "trending topics page" doesnt work at all, this app is ***** *****Dont buy it****** Really really disappointing as it was one of my Apps I used most (before 2.5) **My earlier opinion** This app ist nearly perfect to read RSS feeds and the magic reader works fine for many feeds. Regarding the previous versions it just lacked Google Reader support and the Magic reader could work a bit better, especially grabbing images. Now, with the recent version, it is not useable because it crashes all the time. 2 Stars now, hoping for a fast update, 4(,5) stars as soon as the crashes are fixed

Missing iPhone Version

Perfect RSS Reader with iCloud sync. But im missing the iPhone Version!!!!

Cool concept, altho needs work....

I think this is a beautiful looking app. I am all for user interfaces that are gorgeous to look at (thats why I own a mac duh!) and the devs nailed a beautiful UI with this app. It isnt without some reservations however. This first version is quite buggy - crashes frequently - I am sure it will be fixed in future updates. I do think there is ways to improve this app (what I would consider improvements anyway). 1. I dont want to add all my google reader feeds one by one. I want to sign into my google reader, have them all show up and bam, start reading. Having to add each feed 1 by 1 is a real pain in the a$# for me. 2. I get that its supposed to be seen as a newspaper but the animation that cuts off almost half of the screen real estate isnt necessary. Given that most new mac apps are adopting the full screen route (with Lion on the horizon) I think that the devs should have the window go full screen to show all the content and remove the paper fold animation. 3. Assign global display option across the whole app (instead of on a per feed basis). I like a particular way you can show the feeds - but I dont want to have to do this on many many feeds that I have showing in Pulp.

The Best News Reader Out There!

UI is beautiful, app is fast and productive! Needs a "Read All" button in both the iPad and Mac Versions.

Replaces browsing

As someone who records a podcast twice a week, I am always scouring the internet for newsworthy articles, sites, etc. This is the easiest way I have found to organize all my feeds in one place. And it has the huge advantage in that the UI looks great. Really feels like youre reading through an online newspaper, but compiled of every source you want. This will replace my morning routine of reading through 10 or so websites by simply looking at one. Love it!

5 stars but...

This is the best (and the prettiest) news reader on Mac Ive used so far. There are some minor things that could be tweaked though: - It would be fantastic if the Magic Reader inline can be turned on by default for every feed - Magic Reader button is in far left corner while content gets centered - if the button was placed just above the content, it would be great - this way you wouldnt have to move your mouse pointer that far every time you want to use the Magic Reader - A nice feature would be to be able to apply some sort of filter so that you see only news you havent read yet. Other than that, the software is awesome!

Convenient

Nice App, you can pretty much select and receive headlines from every site online. Very convenient App! Not, however totally customizable as stated--i mean you can choose/name your categories, and select from a few display options when viewing headlines from each feed, but thats about it--you cant rearrange the page beyond putting feeds beside or below eachother. Still, a very convenient way to get all your news, and the realtime updates are great! Should be $5 cheaper, but youll forget the expense in a few days.

Crashy, no Google Reader sync

Doesnt sync with Google Reader (you can only manually import from it) and its crashing all the time. Ive had three crashes in as many minutes.

Great App, but could be improved a bit.

Really great app, extremley easy to use and set up, but a few things would make it even better. It would be nice if the page badge would reflect how many articles are on each page as apposed to just notifying you that there is a new article(s) on that page. Also it would be a lot easier to set up if there was an Import All option for safari or mail RSS feeds. Ive been having some issues using Pulp Synch, first of all when I add a feed on my mac it doesnt transfer over to my iPad. I had to uninstall the app and install it again and go through the setup process again to get the new feeds. Also it often takes forever for it to show up on my other devices that an article is read. Sometimes it doesnt at all. So being more instant would be nice! A full screen mode would be very welcomed! Thanks for making a great app, cant wait to see future versions!

HUGE flaw

either im really dumd or this app is HUGELY flawed. whenever you open up an article, it doesnt let you exit it without exiting the actual program itself. Ive search high and low for it, so if anyone can help me out, please do so!

Excellent for my work...

I am a financial planner and have myriads of news sources reporting to me daily. Almost everything effects markets and this tool makes it much easier for me to get information quickly from multiple sources in a very easy to use format. It is interesting to me, it is like I have become the publisher of my own daily newspaper. I guess I actually do like the format if I have control of what news it contains...smile.

Design flaw

A bit of a UI design flaw... To close an open article, click on the faded "page" below the article... its not super obvious (took me awhile to figure it out also) and should definitely be addressed in a future version! Otherwise the app is very nice. Easy to use, very customizable and great to look at!

Great App, simple and intuitive

Search for RSS feeds from keywords to add, multiple pages and moveable layout. Love it! Use it every day

I am reading blogs now

Finally an applicatino that made me read blogs! Pulp offers a great ecosystem for syncing your blog reading across devices (check out the iPad version) for those who dont want to go over google reader. The UI flaw described in some comments here never occured to me as a flaw. It seemed quite naturally to close the article the way you do, and the animations hint towards it. What I would like to see though is an option to add blogs straight from safari. Ideally, I would be able to choose the heading the blog is put under right away then. Also, the new blog could be collected in some form of Misc. / Unsorted / Inbox header, until I sort it into a specific section.
